Only Mauritius sits here today: Mauritius is on the outgoing ผ.60 60-day exemption list, so it is visa-free on both sides of 15 September and this bucket only understates the stay until then. Seychelles is not on ผ.60 — it is on the outgoing visa-on-arrival list — so it is held in the visa-on-arrival bucket until 15 September rather than being called visa-free two weeks early. The Cabinet proposal of 19 May 2026 put three countries in this tier; the Maldives was moved up to the 30-day exemption in the enacted version. TAT's article of 1 September 2026 states that the two-entries-per-calendar-year limit at land-border immigration checkpoints applies to this tier as well; neither Mauritius nor Seychelles shares a land border with Thailand, so in practice it does not bite.

- Until 14 September 2026 Mauritian nationals may stay up to 60 days, for tourism and short-term business engagements, under the outgoing exemption scheme.
- From 15 September 2026 nationals of Seychelles also receive this 15-day exemption. Until then they obtain a visa on arrival.
- From 15 September 2026, entries through land-border immigration checkpoints under this exemption are limited to two per calendar year, except for nationalities designated by the Minister. Arrivals by air are not capped.
- Any paid work, including remote employment inside Thailand, requires a work permit.
